Layout for the DeWalt "Best Of" catalogues. 36 to 64 pages per edition, three releases a year, strict international brand rules, and hundreds of product references to get right.
The "Best Of" is DeWalt's main catalogue in France. Three editions a year, each one taking several weeks to put together. Hundreds of technical references, product visuals to create, and deadlines that don't move.
Three catalogues a year means the production never really stops. The layout needs to feel fresh each time, while every single reference and price has to be correct.
I created product visuals and laid out part of each catalogue in InDesign. I also sat in on client reviews, handled approvals and revisions. Doing both design and coordination meant fewer back-and-forths and faster turnarounds.
Up to 64 pages per edition with hundreds of product references. InDesign automation helped keep the pace without letting errors slip through.
DeWalt's brand rules are the same in every country. Every visual, every typeface, every color has to match the global spec exactly.
Multiple designers working in parallel, deadlines tied to retail distribution. Good communication and tight coordination are the only way it works.
